Michael and Lucinda Masterson Ray have been in cattle production since the early 1990s. We were interested in expanding our love for cattle to a smaller more boutique operation nestled next to the San Juan River on our Willowbrook Ranch location. After careful research we settled on this congenial and adaptable breed of cattle, the British White.
Lucinda comes from a multi-generational family of cattle producers. Her grandfather, Emory Masterson, was a registered Hereford rancher in Texas. And her father James Masterson, continued raising Herefords in a smaller setting in New Mexico. British Whites have a temperament similar to the Herefords making them ideal for family operations.
Mike’s career has always been in many aspects of beef production, even developing a patented feed additive for cattle and other livestock.
We are excited about this new endeavor and introducing you to our Willowbrook Ranch British Whites.
At Willowbrook British Whites, we invite you to meet our exceptional British White Cattle, renowned for their unique beauty and remarkable temperament.
We will be selling calves individually or as a small group once weaned in the fall.
The calves will have papers as they can be registered as pure bred, three quarters or half British White.
Our first heifer born on Willowbrook Ranch is a redhead born in true Irish fashion on St. Patrick’s Day. Our first bull calf was born with traditional British White markings. What an exciting time around here.
